Religious and spiritual support

The Chaplaincy Team has chaplains from the following religions: Christian (Church of England, Free Church, Roman Catholic), Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Hindu. There is normally a Chaplain on-site between 8am and 4pm (weekdays) and on-call for emergencies at other times. Contact us on 0121 333 8526 or 0121 333 8527. There are several places for quiet prayer on the first floor open 24hours a day: Christian Chapel, Muslim Prayer Room, Multi-faith Quiet Room. Services/prayers are held weekly. The Chapel also has a children’s area.

How to access the Unit

Ward 11 is on the second floor. From the main corridor: By lift: turn right. The lifts are a short distance along the corridor, to your left. Turn right on coming out of the lift at the second floor. Ward 11 is towards the end of the corridor, to the right. By walking: turn left. Do remember that the floors in the main building are taller than modern floors, and the second floor is the same as the third floor in a modern building! The stair-well is about half way down the corridor, on your left. Walk up to the second floor. Ward 11 is opposite and slightly to your right on coming out of the stair-well. Press the buzzer to enter the ward .
